Q: What is BAYC’s relationship to Sunny Hills Services?

A: Since our 2008 merger, BAYC operates as the East Bay Division of Sunny Hills Services.

Q: Who does BAYC serve?

A: BAYC serves transition age youth ages 15-24 years through its housing, mental health and drop-in programs. All BAYC programs are guided by a youth development philosophy which focuses on the strengths of youth and places them at the forefront of their treatment experience. Program participants take an active role in not only what happens to them, but the way that it happens.

Q: Who is eligible for BAYC’s housing programs?  

A: current and former foster youth are eligible to participate in our housing programs.

Q: Where are BAYC programs located?

A: Our offices are in downtown Hayward.  Our housing programs are scattered throughout Alameda County.

Q: What is BAYC’s Tax Identification number?

A: From time to time BAYC does offer volunteer opportunities, particularly around the holiday season. Call us or check back on this Web site for more information.

Q: I want to make a gift in memory of someone.  How do I do that?

A: BAYC accepts both memorial and honor gifts. Simply note the name of the individual your gift is in memory of (or in honor of), and the address of the family or individual(s) who should be notified. We will send an acknowledgement of your gift to your designee, and a receipt to you for use in preparing your income tax return (should you itemize deductions). Please note it is our policy not to reveal the amount of your gift to the family.
